COVINGTON, VA (VR) – The City of Covington is encouraging residents and local businesses to register for CodeRED emergency alerts, a free notification service designed to provide critical information during emergencies and other important situations.
According to information provided by the City, CodeRED allows registered users to receive immediate alerts by text message, phone call or email. The system provides official updates and direct notifications from the City of Covington Emergency Management.
Registration is free and available to all Covington residents and local businesses. Residents can register by scanning the QR code provided on the City’s informational flyer or by completing a registration form and returning it to the Treasurer’s Office at 333 W. Locust St.
The City encourages residents to stay informed by signing up for the service and ensuring their contact information is kept current.
