COVINGTON, Va. (VR) - Olde Town Covington's Christmas in July celebration drew a large crowd Friday evening as residents gathered to enjoy cooler temperatures, live music, classic cars, food, and fellowship. Collins Park and the Train Depot Park were filled with residents enjoying performances by local bands Cliffwood and Somberside, a car show by the Alleghany Cruisers, local vendors, and a food truck. COVINGTON, Va. (VR) - The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon to celebrate the new location of the Melissa Hylton State Farm office in Covington. Local leaders, business owners, employees, and community members gathered for the occasion. The new State Farm office is located at 202 N. Marion Ave. in Covington.
