COVINGTON, VA (VR) – Car enthusiasts, families, and community supporters are invited to attend the Burnouts for a Cause & Car Show on June 20, 2026, at the Covington Moose Lodge, located at 414 Moose Park Road, Covington, Virginia. The event promises a full day of exciting automotive action, family-friendly entertainment, and charitable fundraising, with proceeds benefiting local animal welfare organizations.
Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., and organizers will provide dash plaques for the first 450 vehicle entries. Admission to the event is free, although donation buckets will be available at the gate to support the cause.
The car show will feature a judged competition, with trophies awarded to standout vehicles across multiple categories. Throughout the day, attendees can also participate in cash drawings, browse a variety of raffle items, and bid on unique offerings during the event’s silent auctions.
One of the main attractions will be the Burnout Competition, which will offer a substantial cash payout and include multiple competition classes. The event is expected to draw participants and spectators from across the region eager to witness tire-smoking action and high-powered performance vehicles.
In addition to the automotive events, visitors can enjoy a variety of food and treat vendors, and activities designed to keep children entertained, making the event appealing for the entire family.
A highlight of the fundraiser will be a special raffle featuring a 1923 Ford T-Bucket show car. The lucky winner will have the choice of taking home the classic hot rod or receiving $8,000 in cash.
Most importantly, the event supports a worthy mission. Proceeds from Burnouts for a Cause will benefit the Alleghany Humane Society, Greenbrier Humane Society, and Rockbridge SPCA, helping these organizations continue their work caring for animals in need.
With classic cars, custom builds, burnout competitions, prizes, food, and community spirit, Burnouts for a Cause is shaping up to be one of the region’s premier automotive events of 2026 while making a meaningful difference for local animal shelters and rescue organizations.
