4-3 Vote Keeps AHS Baseball at Casey Field

LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) –  The Alleghany Highlands Public Schools School Board voted 4-3 to keep the Alleghany High School baseball field at Casey Field following a lengthy discussion involving board members, Covington City Manager Allen Dressler and Alleghany High School Athletic Director Ty Dobbs.

Jonathan Arritt made the motion to keep the baseball field at its current location, with Danielle Morgan seconding the motion.

The motion passed with Arritt, Nicole Clemmons, John Littleton and Morgan voting in favor.

Voting against the motion were Jon Lanford, Bob Umstead and Jay Woodson.

The discussion included input from board members, Dressler and Dobbs before the board took its vote.

The 4-3 decision keeps the Cougars’ baseball program at Casey Field, where the team currently plays its home games.
