AGENDA FOR THE IRON GATE WORK SESSION

MAY 18, 2026 AT 7:00PM

 

 

–      Water rate from Clifton Forge to $4.00

 

–      Bulk rate figures from Alleghany County. From $15,555 to $18,793

 

–      Request for congressionally directed spending (CDS) from the Senate Appropriations Committee

 

–      Zoning Coordinator appointment

 

–      Upcoming Public Hearings: 

May 28th at 7pm – 8th Street dead end request

June 15th at 7pm at the Iron Gate Fire Dept. for:

                              = Proposed budget review

                              = Town Charter debate

 

–      Portable toilet delivered to the River Park

 

–      Discuss utility increase from $115.00 per month to $135.00 per month

 

–      Discuss rate increase for the dump trailer usage

 

–      Discuss ordinance change to list utility bill in homeowner’s name instead of renter’s name.

 

–      Holiday closing on Monday, May 25, 2026 for Memorial Day

 

–      Utility billing software is changing on May 20, 2026
