Covington Middle Explodes for 19 Runs in Rout of Bath County

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Covington Middle kept its offensive surge rolling, pounding out a 19-6 win over Bath County behind a relentless lineup and a strong outing in the circle from Miyah Howard.

Howard led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple, while also earning the win on the mound with six strikeouts. Anniystn Lewis delivered a perfect 4-for-4 performance, blasting a home run, adding a double and two singles to pace the attack. Alyssa Shifflett stayed hot as well, finishing 3-for-4 with a double and two singles.

Tori Bowers chipped in with a single in her only at-bat as Covington consistently put pressure on Bath County’s defense.
