Lanford’s Squad Stays On Fire As Covington Rolls Past Lylburn Downing, 7-2

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Covington Middle School controlled the match from the start and never let up in a 7-2 win over Lylburn Downing.

Emeri Brown led the attack with five goals, consistently breaking through the defense and finishing chances in the box. Ashtyn Crawford added a goal to extend the lead, and Haley Jonas capped the scoring with a late strike. Covington’s offense applied steady pressure throughout, building separation early and maintaining control.

In goal, Marley Aragones recorded four saves, limiting Lylburn Downing’s opportunities and anchoring the defensive effort.
