HARRISONBURG, Va. (VR) – The VFW Auxiliary’s Department of Virginia Convention held June 18-22 saw Curtis A Smith VFW Post 1033 rewarded for all their efforts to support area veterans in every way possible.

New ideas and programs were presented to help fellow chapters grow and learn. Curtis A Smith VFW Post 1033 Auxiliary would like to thank all the Department officers and committee chairmen for all their support during the 2024-2025 year. A special thank you to President Dawn Kuhn who was always there to make sure we followed the proper procedures and Ellen Stoggsdill who always went above and beyond to keep us on the right track with Malta. We kept them busy. Also, thank you to Kathy Voss, District 6 President, who provided leadership and guidance to help us be the best we could be.

The auxiliary membership was very dedicated to do all they could to support the veterans. Some of the things included going to the Salem VA hospital to play bingo and visiting local nursing homes with gift bags for special holidays.
