PATRICK COUNTY, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Boys Tennis team rolled into Patrick County High School on Monday and didn’t drop a single game, cruising to a flawless 9-0 win that had “dominance” written all over it.
Singles play was all Cougars, as each of Alleghany’s six players won by a perfect 8-0 scoreline. From the first serve to the final point, the team was locked in—serving strong, hitting clean, and keeping their opponents off balance in every match.
Doubles action sealed the statement win. DePriest and Via took down Clark and Harbour 8-2 in the top spot. The Entsminger duo stayed hot, blanking Martin and Ayers 8-0. Crawford and Smith wrapped things up with an 8-1 victory over Slate and Tanna. Alleghany will take on Radford Wednesday.
