LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany girls tennis squad didn’t just show up Monday against Patrick County — they showed out, handing them a 8-1 reality check that left no doubt who runs the court. From the first serve, it was clear Patrick County wasn’t ready for what Alleghany brought to the table. The Cougars came in with that “we’re not here to play, we’re here to win” energy, and let’s just say… Patrick County never stood a chance.

In singles play it was all eights across the board except for Morgan falling to Shianne 7-9, but the momentum continued as the lady cougars moved to double play. It was all eights across the board and the girls were dead locked with Patrick county in which the cougars came out 7-3 in the game deciding match. The Cougars stand at 4-2 so far in the season.
