James “Cheeze Claus” Smith of Covington displays a small sample of the toys he plans to give away next month in the area’s Christmas parades. He plans to give out toys, which includes bicycles and motorized cars, to the parades in Covington, Clifton Forge, Iron Gate, Millboro, Hot Springs and Craigsville. Smith has been accepting donations of junk cars and spending the proceeds on children’s presents for five years. Last year, he gave away over 8,000 toys to children attending the parades.
