HOT SPRINGS – The Pioneer All-District baseball teams were announced recently which featured three from Bath County.
The Chargers had three baseball players named to the All-Honorable team including Cooper Lowry, Issac Ingram, and Nathan Hunt.
BCHS finished their season with a 1-13 overall record and were 0-8 in the district. The Chargers began their season with a dramatic 10-9 walk-off victory over Pocahontas County.
Following their season opening win, the season would take a 180 in which the team would not recover from as Bath County would lose 13 in a row, including a 10-1 first-round loss to Eastern Montgomery in the district tournament.
Parry McCluer had the most featured players on the teams with nine. However, it was Narrows who represented the district with the player and coach of the year honors. Third baseman Carson Crigger was named the POY, while his coach Chris Helvey was named the COY.
