Sheryl Thompson Bradley
Sheryl Thompson Bradley, age 80, of 1518 Farley Place, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.
Sheryl was born on March 31, 1944 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Hurley Denver Thompson and Bebe Deloras Lester Thompson. She began her career as an LPN in the operating room of the Chesapeake and Ohio Hospital, and retired from the office of Dr. Raymond Claterbaugh after many years. Sheryl was a member of Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed the many friendships she gained through the years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and traveling with her sister and brother-in-law on their coast to coast RV trips, but most of all, she loved her family. Sheryl’s family was her world and many wonderful memories were created laughing and talking around her kitchen table. She had a special place in her heart for her children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kidd Bradley; a brother, H. D. Thompson, Jr.; and a sister, Colleen Moshaashaee.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Graham (Nick Nickell) and Tim Bradley (Karen), both of Covington; two sisters, Kyra Alvis (Ted) and Sharlene Elliott, and a brother, Niles Thompson, all of Athens, WV; five grandchildren, Jessica Graham, Allison Graham, Seth Bradley (Paige), Hannah Snyder (Jon), and Luke Bradley; two great grandsons, Parker John Bradley and Easton James Bradley; a brother-in-law, Mehdi Moshaashaee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Billy Price officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Seth Bradley, Luke Bradley, Jon Snyder, Nick Nickell, Ben Meadows, and Cameron Decker. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
