“Valentines for Veterans” supported the Alleghany Highlands Arts and Craft Center’s annual card campaign. Curtis A Smith VFW Post 1033 Auxiliary was proud to be a part of this special project for the third year, getting better and better with the help of our caring community.
Various groups of youth were involved in making the valentines, which included Jeter-Watson Elementary School, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, Boys Home of Virginia, First Christian Church, A1 Dance Studio and our three young students who help annually, Collieonia and Carlie Lockhart and Peyton Cales. Thank you to all who donated supplies and support to help make this possible. It is one of the many things we can do to honor all veterans and their families.
“Valentines for Veterans” are mailed to area Veterans Hospitals, VFW Posts, American Legion and names submitted to us by the community, we also recognize public servants and medical facilities for all they do every day to serve and protect our homes.
We look forward to the 2025 project and making lots of smiling faces. God bless all.
