HOT SPRINGS – It was a runaway Tuesday night in Buena Vista as the Bath County JV girls basketball team got back to their winning ways following a 39-15 Pioneer District road victory over Parry McCluer.
Trinity Forbes and Zoey Jenkins were at the forefront of the Chargers junior varsity victory over the Fighting Blues. Forbes led BCHS with a game-high 19 points, while Jenkins added 12.
Bath County (5-8, 3-2 Pioneer District) also got contributions in scoring from Sophie Ailstock who had six points, while Ryleigh Phillips added two.
The win for the Chargers was their fifth overall and third in the district.
BCHS hosts Pocahontas County in Hot Springs Wednesday night.
