WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – With the soft opening behind them, The Across The Board Game Cafe’ will have its grand opening this Friday, Dec. 29 in White Sulphur Springs. What is a ‘game cafe’ you ask?

It’s Jade Hanna’s way of “extending the fun and feasting throughout the year,” when she’s not at The Hannah Farmstead, dominating fall fun. It’s a charming spot to play a board game while noshing on great eats, with a menu you can afford, and priceless memories be the spoils of battle.

The Across The Board Game Cafe’ is located at 698 East Main Street, White Sulphur Springs, and is open to serve the public divine ice cream and milkshakes by Ashby’s Sterling Creamery out of Michigan, all varieties of paninis, and breakfast all day! In addition to these yummy treats are mocktails, bagels and bagel sandwiches, dips and flatbreads.

Every food item boasts the title of a game. The adult Lunchables called “Mousetraps,” consist of a bread choice such as bagel chips or crackers, meat, cheese and seasonal fruit. The all-day breakfast will be a hit serving bagels, stuffed bagels, breakfast pizza and more, to come very soon. Jades’ homemade dips will be offered on Friday as well with varieties such as buffalo chicken dip, pimento cheese, pizza and Mexican street corn. Gaming fuel at its best.

There are over 400 games to peruse while you order your delicious assortment of snackage for head-to-head crusades with ‘Battleship’ or Connect Four carnage. Meet new friends who share your affinity for Chutes and Ladders. Bring the family out to spend quality time with a “Hungry Hungry Ham” flatbread and a game of ‘Monopoly’. Some other flatbread medleys are a ‘Sorry’ Jalapeno Popper or “Code Names” Italian. A planned Trivia Night will undoubtedly bring out the serious team spirit hijinx. Follow Across The Board Game Cafe on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with specials and ongoing additions to the fun queue. No business phone as of yet, but please do order online at jade@atbgamecafe.com or with Facebook Messenger. The business hours are Monday-Thursday 7 am-8 pm, Fridays 7 am-9 pm and Saturdays 9-9 pm. Closed Sunday. Work on the website is still happening but you will be able to visit shortly.

White Sulphur Springs is very lucky to add this incredible new adventure to their line-up of goods and services and we all wish Jade much success and happiness. Rest assured the smiles, laughter and good times will stretch farther than Mr. “Operation’s” leg band!
