Kathy Pearl Tucker
Mrs. Kathy Pearl Tucker, age 69, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her daughter’s residence. She was the wife of the late Donald Eugene Tucker.
Mrs. Tucker was born March 28, 1954, in Monroe County, the daughter of the late Leslie Mabry and Cleo Rudler. She was a lifetime resident of this community. During her working career, Mrs. Tucker had been employed as a certified nursing assistant, was a former school bus driver for the Alleghany School System as well as a certified emergency medical technician for the Covington Rescue Squad. Kathy was a member of Concerned Christian Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by a daughter, Michelle Mabry of Salem; her three children Olivia, Jasemine, and Rodney.
Kathy was a wonderful step-mother and was loved dearly by her step-children; Donald E. Tucker, Jr.; his daughter Gypsy, Margaret Tucker; her son Michael, Sandra Tucker Ogle; her two children Brandon and Ashley and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tucker is also survived by three brothers, Donald Mabry of Oklahoma, Wayne Mabry of Salem and Perry Kim Mabry of Covington; and a sister, Neldria Vicey of Clifton Forge.
Lastly surviving is her extended family; Evangeline Holloway and the rest of the Holloway family along with Ann, Alisha and Meca Taylor.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice, Friendship Health & Rehab, and James Barrett for all of the love and care they provided Mrs. Tucker.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 11, 2023 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. William O. Hickman III officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rodney D. Holloway, Bryan May, Josh Clark, Antonio Twitty, Donald Eugene Tucker, Jr., Brandon Tucker and Rodney N. Holloway.
Honorary pallbearers will Zaviyon Smith, Deshawn Smith, Chatney Holloway, Anthony Holloway, Danny Tucker and Derrell Washington.
The family to receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
