Hot Springs, VA (VR) – The Omni Homestead Resort and Bath Community Hospital will hold their 17th Annual Community Health Fair in the resort’s Grand Ballroom on Monday, October 30, from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
“We’re grateful to have so many business and community leaders support this effort and especially appreciate our longtime partnership with Bath Community Hospital,” said Mark Spadoni, managing director of The Omni Homestead Resort. “The health and wellness of our community is vital to our area’s success and future growth, and we’re pleased to provide these resources to all area residents.”
Representatives include not only Bath Community Hospital and The Omni Homestead Resort, but also Corporate America Family Credit Union, Aflac, Alleghany Highlands Victim Witness Assistance Program, Alleghany/Covington Department of Social Services, Bath County Public Library, Bath County Sheriff’s Office, Boys Home of Virginia, Carilion Clinic, Central Shenandoah Health District, Lewis Gale Alleghany, Mountain Gateway Community College, Norwex, Rideshare, Rockbridge Adult Education, Rockbridge Area Community Services (RACS), Summitt Community Bank, Truist Bank, and Valley Program for Aging Services (VPAS), and more.
In addition to enjoying the Bistro’s spooky treats, visitors will be able to take advantage of complimentary blood pressure screening and fire extinguisher training. Attendees may also get a free COVID-19 vaccination (bring vaccination card), a flu vaccine (under 65 years of age) for $35*; a Fluzone HD vaccine (over 65 years of age) for $78*, cholesterol and blood sugar panels for $25 and an additional $10* to include a prostate test.
Parking will be available in the resort’s transportation lot and shuttle service will be provided.
*Lab draws are scheduled until 10:00 a.m. and patients must fast from midnight the night prior. Please present insurance card. Payment is accepted by cash or check and is due at the time of service.
