Jennie Lois Powell Robinson, age 90, of 1208 Grace Avenue, Clifton Forge died Monday, August 10, 2020 at The Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge.
Jennie was born February 1, 1930 in Fincastle, Virginia to the late Walter John and Ethel Crawford Powell.  
She was a retired apparel presser for Jane Colby, Inc. of Clifton Forge and attended Oak Hill Bible Church.  She loved gardening, sewing, attending yard sales, her cats, and being with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Givens Edward Robinson; a brother, Harry Powell; two sisters, Edith Coffey and Helen Alexander; and two great grandchildren, Blake Robinson and Melanie Goode.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Woodie and husband Reverend Virgil Woodie of Clifton Forge, Dreama Evans and husband Bob of Covington, and Betty Morris and husband Chappy of Clifton Forge; two sons, Walter Edward Robinson and wife Lynn of Ohio and Joseph Edward “Joey” Robinson and wife Mandy of Roanoke; a brother, John Lewis Powell of Waynesboro; a sister-in-law, Peggy Robinson of Clifton Forge; six grandchildren, Chris Reynolds and wife Missy, Jason Hostetter, John Morris and wife Ashly, Allison Stoots, Jennie Knight and Ross Allen Robinson; fifteen great grandchildren, Brandy, Angel, Taylor, Brady, Keaton, Layla, Archer, Melody, Brennen, Nyoka, Noah, Mataya, Isaiah, Dakota and Justin; seven great-great grandchildren, Adelynne, Ian, Kayden, Colten, Chance, Karoline and Luca; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.  A memorial service will be held on Friday evening, August 14, 2020 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Virgil Woodie officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Oak Hill Bible Church, 1601 Chestnut St, Clifton Forge, VA  24422 or to the Clifton Forge Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 419, Clifton Forge, VA  24422.
