YMCA Hosting Harvest Fest Open House

LOW MOOR — The Alleghany Highlands YMCA will hold a Harvest Fest Open House on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All who come can enter for door prizes which will be drawn throughout the day.  All COVID-19 precautions will be strictly enforced,
The community is invited to try out one of the classes or play bingo.
The schedule includes:
• 11:15 a.m.: Preview to Strength Training;
• 11:45 a.m.: Chair Exercise;
• 12:15 p.m.; Mommy and Me Yoga;
• 1-2:30 p.m.: Women Empowered Self Defense;
• 1-3 p.m.: Bingo with prizes.
Please call 962-9622 ahead of time to register for any of the activities.
There will also be food available, including Colorful Chameleon smoked meats; Olde Town Mercantile hot dogs, Heirloom Foods, Paige Morgan’s cinnamon rolls, and Clifton Forge Lions Club ice cream.
There will also be local crafters and vendors, including White Oak Dairy LLC goat milk soap, The Beehive honey, Norwex cleaning products, Kim’s Fab Five Boutique, and local artists.
Local deejay “Big Al” will also be doing a Highway 64 remote broadcast from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition, flu shots will be available from 12 noon to 3 p.m. for anyone ages six months and up. High dose flu shots for ages 65 or over will also be available, but insurance will be required.
Membership is down at the YMCA because of the Coronavirus. YMCA personnel are inviting  former members and potential new members to come and see how they are keeping the environment safe and sanitized. 
There will also be membership specials for anyone who wants to join.
