First Christian Church

(Disciples of Christ)

A Christmas Eve Communion service will be held at the church located at 319 Church Street, Clifton Forge, at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Virgil Woodie and Cathy Drummer will serve as organist.

Mallow Presbyterian Church

A Christmas Eve service will be held at 5 p.m. in the church parking lot.

First Presbyterian Church

Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 138 N. Maple Avenue, will have a Christmas Eve Service at 11 p.m. Prior to the service, special music will start at 10:30 p.m. The Rev. Roger Baroody will officiate.

Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church

Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, located at 544 Church Street, will hold a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 11 p.m.

Edgemont ARP Church

Edgemont ARP (Associate Reformed Presbyterian) Church will hold its annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, beginning at 5 p.m. The annual Candlelight Service has been a tradition for over 40 years. This year’s service will be a “Drive-in Service” held in the church parking lot. The Rev. Donnie Bowker, church pastor will lead the service outside with a message. Music Director Anne Scruggs and organist Beverly Barnett will lead traditional singing of Christmas carols for attendees to enjoy from the protection of their cars while listening to the service via radio at 88.9 FM. The church is located at 2306 S. Church Ave. in Covington.

Calvary Christian Church

(Disciples of Christ)

Calvary Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located on Pond Avenue and Dolly Ann Drive, will hold a Christmas Eve Communion and Candlelight Worship Service beginning at 7 p.m. The service will be broadcasted over the internet via Zoom. Those attending in person are strongly encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing, which will be maintained throughout the duration of the service. The pastor of Calvary Christian Church — Disciples of Christ is the Rev. Michael R. Warren.
