Nancy Downey Little, age 74, of 608 Brussels Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia passed away on

Tuesday, November 3 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

She was born on October 24, 1946 in Clifton Forge to the late Roscoe H. Downey, Sr. and Dorothy Payne Downey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a loving sister, Margaret “Carol” Clark.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles A. Little, Sr. of Clifton Forge; a son, Charles “Chuck” Little and wife Rebecca of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Kim Little and

husband Alpha Paitsel of South Carolina; 3 sisters, Roxie Downey of Covington, Robin Rickett and husband Carey of Covington, and Mary Jane Anderson and husband Kevin of Fincastle; a brother, Roscoe “Rusty” Downey, Jr. of Clifton Forge; 3 grandchildren, Gene “Aaron” Smith of Clifton Forge, Kenneth Little and wife Staci of West Virginia, and Austin Little and companion Winter Robertson of Roanoke; 4 great grandchildren, Zacary Smith and Coltyn Smith of Clifton Forge, and Aiden Morgan and Madelyn Little of West Virginia, each of whom held a very special place in her heart and she was looking forward to the birth of her 5th great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews who were dear to her. Nancy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She dearly loved her husband and family. Her life centered around spending time with her family and special friends, Susie Kern, Marie and Mickey Nichols, and Danny and Julia Carter.

In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.
