Coach Caldwell suffers loss in last Mountaineers game

COVINGTON, Va. (TVR ) – Head Coach Nolan Caldwell of the Alleghany High School Mountaineers boys’ basketball team coached the last game in AHS Mountaineers boys’ basketball history, a double overtime 58-57 tournament loss to Radford High School’s Bobcats.

The Mountaineers’ mascot will be replaced by the Cougars in the 2023-2024 school year. He performed for the Mountaineers as a forward under coach Jimmy Smith.
