On Tuesday, the Mountain Gateway Roadrunners (5-13) fell at home to the Hocking College Hawks 72-62.
Tyree Morgan and Eli Burke paced the Hawks with 13 points each. They were two of the Hawks four players who reach double figures in scoring. Allen Lattimore and Anthony Millner each added 12.
The Roadrunners finished with three players in double figures. Dae Dae Bowens led all scorers with a game-high 16 points. Bowens finished the game with a double-double as he brought in a game-high 12 rebounds. Jake Korbakes added 15 points, while Jaquan Dembo scored 14.
Bench production proved to be a game-changer for the Hawks who had six players come off the bench to combine for nearly half of the teams points with 32. The Roadrunners had four bench points.
The loss was the Roadrunners third in their last four games.
The Roadrunners game on Friday versus Hosanna Bible College was cancelled. The team was in the road against Central Carolina Community College on Saturday and on Tuesday the Roadrunners are back home to host Appalachian Bible College.
