Traffic cones redirected traffic adjacent to the Kroger Store on U.S. Route 60 in Clifton Forge in order for Columbia Virginia Gas Company to make repairs next to the former Family Dollar Store.
A detour sign and traffic cones were used on Mon., Oct. 10, to funnel traffic away from the area the company was inspecting.
The Family Dollar sign has been blacked out, and the store is empty while the renovation of the building is underway to convert it into a Christian Church.
Information concerning the reason for the detour and the redirection of traffic was not available at press time, but the workmen were not employees of the Town of Clifton Forge.
