Just a few short few weeks ago, team USA won the 2022 World Games Gold Medal following their 3-2 victory over Japan on July 13th at Hoover Met Stadium in Hoover, AL.
The win for team USA was also their third straight consecutive WBSC World Championship title.
On that 2022 gold medal and world championship team, Bath County native, Jailyn Ford.
Ford in her only appearance picked up the win for team USA over Canada as she was the starting pitcher and tossed three innings on the mound where she allowed two runs (both earned) two hits, while walking two, and striking out five.
