The Sports International Passing Academy held a camp on July 15th, 16th, and 17th at George Mason University where they had four area young men to attend camp.
The positions for this particular camp were quarterbacks and wide receivers.
Robert Bennett (QB), rising junior at Greenbrier East High School in Lewisburg, WVa. Wyatt Campbell (QB), rising sophomore at Bath County High School, Bath County, Va. Jyon Smith (QB), rising sophomore at Covington High School, Covington, Va., and Purcel Turner (WR), rising junior at Covington High School, Covington, Va.
There were two former NFL players that gave their time along with other skilled coaches to help these young men learn ways to improve their strategies, techniques, feet movements, and catches all dealing with football.
Rasheed Malik Marshall, a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football for West Virginia University. He was also a member of the Pittsburg Steelers, St. Louis Rams (now known as the Los Angeles Rams), and the Columbus Destroyers (Arena Football League).
Lou Young III, is an American football cornerback who is currently a free agent. He played for the Washington Commanders (defensive back), Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, and Arizona Cardinals (corner back). He played college football at Georgia Tech (corner back).
These young men did well and all were happy they attended this camp for the experience.
