Sandra Lee Hess Persinger, age 61, of 221 Fourth Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, July 8, 2022 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor, Virginia.
She was born March 19, 1961 in Staunton, Virginia to the late Jack Hess and Lorene Masincup Hess. She was a homemaker throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Monroe Persinger of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Bridgette Painter and significant other, Thomas Curtis of Selma; a son, Alan Trimble and wife Shannon of Clifton Forge; a step daughter, Ona Persinger, of Clifton Forge; a step son, Shawn Persinger of Clifton Forge; a sister, Jackie Parr of Staunton; three brothers, Mike Hess of Alexandria, Timmy Hess of Texas, and Charlie Hess of Staunton; twelve grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Bishop Alfred “Mustard” Dearing, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
