Sir Knights, Brethren, Companions, Ladies, and friends gathered together to pay honor to a venerable and distinguished, Sir Kight Pem Hall, who has give sixty years of his life to the practice of those Christian virtues that are the cornerstone of Masonic institution. His service to Christianity in general and this Commandery Alleghany #23 was deemed worthy of recognition.
“Sir Knight Hall, the passing of the years, that broad river of time has allowed you to observe many facets of life, to note the many changes that have occurred since you first became a Knight of the Temple. You, as a Knight Templar, have chosen to uphold the Honor of Knighthood, to foster the Christian virtues, to heed the call of the Widow and Orphan, and for this honorable service in a just and virtuous cause, we pause in life’s busy schedule to pay tribute to you.”
Presenting the 60 year certificate is Scott Fielding Eminent, Grand Caption General of the Grand Commandery of Virginia, on behalf of Right Eminent Romulo Capuno Grand commander of Virginia.
“I am now privileged to present you the emblem of sixty years of service to Templar Masonry, Freda Hall will pin it on your lapel, accept it as a token of our esteem and fraternal affection for you. May it ever remind you of the love and affection of your fellow Knights, wear it with honor. It is yours by virtue of the service you have rendered this Commandery.”
