The Lady Mounties (1-0) varsity soccer team opened their season with a 10-0 shutout road victory over William Fleming.
Kinley Eggleston, led the Lady Mounties with four goals in the win.
Meanwhile, to round out the scoring for the team, Carlee Lanford and Ashtyn Bishop each scored three goals.
On defense, Breanna Phillips and Payton Reynolds combined for nine of the teams 15 steals.
Goalkeeper, Emma Williams, pitched a shutout guarding the goal.
The Lady Mounties to a commanding lead after the first half with six goals. The team added four more in the second half.
The team is looking for more success this season after coming off of a historic last season in which the team put together the programs first ever winning season while also hosting a Regional 2C Playoff game
Last season, the team finished with an overall record of 6-3-2 as they held opponents to only 12 scores on the season while scoring 50 of their own goals.
The Lady Mounties are back on the soccer field on Tuesday at William Fleming.
