On Monday, the Bath County Chargers fell to the Highland County Rams (4-8) 44-38.
Ethan Moore, had a career day for the Rams, as he put together a double-double with a game-high in points, 17, and was tied for a game-high in rebounds with 14.
Moore’s teammate, Colton Williams, also recorded 14 rebounds.
The Rams were dominant on the boards as the team brought in 42 rebounds compared to the Chargers 18.
Despite being outrebounded by a wide margin, the Chargers led by three going into the second half.
The turning point of the game, came in the third quarter, when the Rams went on a 6-0 scoring run to take a 29-25 lead.
The teams lead carried over into the fourth quarter where the Rams defense held the Chargers to six fourth quarter points. The Rams recorded 24 of their 44 rebounds in the second half. 11 of those rebounds coming from Et. Moore.
The Chargers didn’t have a player score in double digits, but did get quality play out of Issac Gwin, who scored a team-high nine points to go along with two rebounds, and two assists. Brennan Gardzinski, also had nine points.
