Mr. Wayne Edward Glover, age 72, of Covington, died Friday, December 31, 2021, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.
Mr. Glover was born July 30, 1949 in Virginia, the son of the late Osborne William Glover and Fleta Humphries Glover. A lifetime resident of this county, he was employed as a truck driver with VDOT-Virginia Department of Transportation for a number of years before his retirement. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed farming and deer hunting.
Mr. Glover is survived by two brothers, William C. Glover of Sweet Chalybeate and Ronnie L. Glover of Union, WV; three nephews, John W. Glover, Ronnie L. Glover, Jr. and Fred Glover of Boonsboro; two nieces, Jennifer Martin and Susan Cosgro of Charlottesville; special companion, Marie Hachtman and special friends, Chris Johnson and Steve “Sam” Massie.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Glover, Steve Massie, Chris Johnson, Gene Harris, Jeff Humphries and Dave Nessley.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
