Dear Editor,
If Antifa, Black Lives Matter, gangs, and groups like Antifa and Isis can band together and be loyal to their cause – where do Christians stand? Does the body of Christ stand together in one common cause? Or, are there factions and other divisions within churches and between churches?
In 1963, there was only one person that fought to get prayer taken out of schools, etc. That person was passionate about her cause and succeeded. FYI-America has not won a war or “conflict” since that event in 1963, Where and what do Christians stand for? Are we together or divided? Christians are supposed to make up the Body of Christ. As with our physical body, each organ, limb, and all components work together to sustain the body. Is the body of Christ operating on the same premise?
Should churches and Christians stick together in one common cause? Are people asleep in the pews? Has apathy and complacency taken all those that profess to be Christians and part of the body of Christ, into a spiritual coma? If we were and are passionate about Christ and the Word, can we ban together?
Have we been apathetic for too long? Will we watch our nation’s government and the nation’s people become anti-Christ because we are too busy with our own lives and needs within the walls of the church? It’s not too late to stand up for Christ and who He is and what He’s done for all of us. Are there professing Christians within America, that are being denied their rights? Are people in the military denied their right of religious preference? Perhaps there are people in other areas that are being denied their religious rights? We can still take a stand together, make a difference and be heard!
We can let our government leaders know that we stand for our religious liberties. We have a right to peacefully disagree with particular policies. Others, also have the right to decide what they are passionate about. E-mail or send a letter to the governor, senator, congressmen, and other bodies of the government and be passionate about our religious freedom and the ending of “killing babies” (abortion).
Sincerely,
Gwen Vess-Whtimore
