Dear Sir,
I recently attended my class reunion and was very proud of everyone there. Represented there were four branches of the military as well as many other walks of life.
In attendance, we had a dentist, factory workers, construction workers, an artist, school teachers, insurance agents, and government workers. Some had high school, some vocational training, and some had college, but not one graduated from “U OWE ME University.” All had worked and paid their own way and did not demand free college. When I look around at the difference from then to now, I shudder to think of the next generation’s problems.
We now have a president who reversed Trump’s ban on transgenders serving in the military and thinks along with others that it’s alright for transgender boys to play in girl’s sports. As a Vietnam veteran, I would not have wanted a person to have my back when they couldn’t even figure out what sex they were.
The cancel culture and trying to destroy history is coming from people who have contributed nothing to our country and want to destroy everything about people who did not contribute to making this a country everyone wants to come to.
Recently my wife and I visited the “Field of Lost Shoes,” where the Battle of New Market took place, where 6,300 Union soldiers would clash with 4,100 Confederates. Later, Pennsylvania sent a statue of a soldier to honor those who died there. As I stood there reading of the battle, I wondered how long this would stand? If the left has its way, it will be replaced by someone wearing a hoodie with a caption, “Helped burn eight cities, looted 10 liquor stores, 15 Walmarts, carjacked 20 cars and never once had to post bail.”
California recently passed Proposition 47, which makes it a simple misdemeanor instead of a felony if you steal less than $950. Now the left will want to amend the Ten Commandments to say, “Thou shall not steal more than $950.” A thief is a thief.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought us many deaths and costly problems, but the worst problem was it brought out the slime in America. Biden’s continuation of the moratorium on evictions or utility cutoffs only aided and abetted the people who completely ignored all the “Help Wanted” signs. They passed out millions of dollars to corporations and businesses, but not one penny to landlords who lost their income. Unfortunately, there is no vaccine for slime. This country has never been so divided and every day you have new words being tossed around by the left to try to divide more.
Equity? Wouldn’t this be requiring “everyone” to show ID to vote?
Woke. Even the hard-working American people get pushed into a corner and have had enough, you will awaken a sleeping giant and you will see the meaning of “woke.”
When the Biden administration turns a blind eye to the rioting, looting, burning of cities and police stations and then calls the school board protesting moms “terrorists” and puts the FBI on them shows just how deranged this administration has become. There are a whole lot more “moms” than FBI agents, so when you get moms riled up, the FBI might see how Custer felt.
The idea of taking from the working people and giving it to the non-workers is not going to fly very long. Biden says his policies will only affect the rich, but as everyone can see, it’s the working class who bear the brunt at the gas pumps, the grocery stores, and heating bills.
The Democrats have also been touting a program where everyone gets a check, but they don’t realize there is already a program for this. It’s called work.
As I said, I am proud of my generation, but the future generations have to really step up if they want to be proud of theirs.
Sincerely,
Donnie Tincher
