Coming off of a tough home loss last week to Eastern Montgomery, which ended the teams three-game losing streak, the Covington Cougars were road warrior on Tuesday night.
The Cougars traveled to New Castle and blew past the Craig County Rockets in straight sets.
The Cougars were no match for the Rockets as the closest they were to being within striking distance was during the second set when the team trailed 16-12, before ultimately losing the set 25-17.
The first and third sets were similar defeats for the Rockets as they lost by doubled digits in each set.
The win improved the Cougars to 4-3 on the season.
Leading the way for the Cougars volleyball team was Nikki Jordan who led the way with 15 digs.
Lexi Dressler had a game-high of 18 assists, while Aubrey Brown had a team-high 11 kills.
The Cougars are back home at the Cougar Den next Tuesday as they host Highland.
