WARM SPRINGS — Betty Blanche (Ryder) Robertson, 86, of Warm Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at her home.
She was born October 9, 1934, in Hot Springs, a daughter of the late Charles Williams and Mabel Blanche (Martin) Ryder.
Mrs. Robertson was a lifelong member of the Chimney Run Church of the Brethren, where she served the Lord faithfully at church and at home. A homemaker, Betty had also been employed as a packer at Bacova many years ago, as well as an aide for the elderly. Betty enjoyed planting and tending to her vegetable garden and canning her bounty for the winter months. Above all, Betty loved her children and knew that they loved her and provided her with the best possible care.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Calvin Cornelius Robertson Sr.; granddaughter, Pam Robertson; great-granddaughter, Raelyn Ryder; and brothers, Leroy and Larry Ryder.
Surviving family members include her 10 loving children, Calvin C. Robertson Jr. and wife, Brenda of Hot Springs, Tommy Robertson and wife, Mary of Millboro, Danny Robertson and wife, Kathy of Warm Springs, Sharon Miller and husband, Larry of Churchville, Patricia Peery and husband, Gray of Hot Springs, Norma Angell and husband, Glen of Covington, George Robertson and wife, Bonnie of Millboro, Ronnie Robertson and wife, Cherie of Hot Springs, Dennis Robertson and wife, Nina of Augusta Springs, and Randy Robertson of Warm Springs; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Judy Ryder and companion, Louis Murray of Warm Springs, Ella Rexrode and husband, Frank of Warm Springs and Phoebe Stanley and husband, Hal of Alleyton, TX; brother, Charles Ryder and wife, Sandy of Warm Springs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2021, in the Robertson Family Cemetery. A private burial was held Monday, September 20, 2021, in Robertson Family Cemetery.
