Charles Edward Thomas
Charles Edward Thomas, age 88, of Clifton Forge, Virginia and formerly of New Haven, Connecticut, died on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge.
Charles was born on May 14, 1938 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late William and Lillie Burrell Thomas. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Winchester Rifle Company in New Haven, Connecticut. In his spare time, Charles loved to go fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Barnett and Dorothy Johnson.
He is survived by four sisters, Shirley Thomas Mansfield, Lillie Thomas Hughes, Priscilla Thomas, and Gloria Thomas Roland (Frank), all of Clifton Forge; two brothers, Norman Thomas (Robbie) of Covington and Ronnie Thomas of Florida; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Red Hill Cemetery, Clifton Forge.
