The Alleghany Highlands Early Learning Partnership will have a free event for area children Wednesday at Covington High School’s Burton Field.
The event will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. It will be open to children from infant to age 5. Free Icees will be offered/.
The event will feature:
— A play area for 0-1.
— A craft tent for ages 2-5.
— A reading tent for ages 2-5.
— A goody bag and book.
Children can sign up to have a free book delivered to their homes once a month.
COVID-19 vaccines will be available from the Alleghany/Covington Department of Health.
A parent or guardian must accompany each child.
