Bath County EDA Announces Business Start-up and Expansion Grant Incentive Program

On June 1, 2021, the Bath County Economic Development Authority will release the application for the 2021 Business Start-up and Expansion Grant Incentive Program. The grant application will be available at bathcountyva.org. A physical copy can be also be picked up at the County Administrator’s Office during regular business hours.

The purpose of the Bath County EDA Grant Incentive Program is to encourage the growth and success of small businesses located in our County by providing funding for the purpose of assisting with start-up or expansion expenses. The grant program is designed to provide a mechanism for the Bath County EDA to evaluate and award incentives to current and potential local businesses.

The program goals are to:
— Encourage entrepreneurship
— Provide new job opportunities for local residents
— Increase the commercial tax base in our region

There is a pool of $30,000 available per year for the program provided by the Bath County Board of Supervisors.

Please note that that the grant program operates on a reimbursement basis.
