Arlene Goodin Comer, 74, of 149 Comers Lane, died, September 5, 2013 at The Brian Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Mrs. Comer was born January 16, 1939 in Lawton, Oklahoma a daughter of the late Joe Goodin and Ellen Otipoby Goodin.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Comer was a member of Hokes Chapel United Methodist Church as well as a member of the Dunlap Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary, Callaghan Ruritan Club, and a member of the Comanche Nation.
Surviving are a husband of 48 years Glenden Comer, two daughters Janet Porter and husband Mark of Smith Mountain Lake, Jane Antonio and husband Noel of Springfield, two grandchildren Arren Porter of Smith Mountain Lake and Thomas Antonio of Springfield, one brother Kenneth John Goodin and wife Barbara of Elgin, Ok., and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday September 8, at 1:30 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Hartsfield officiating.
Interment will be made at 4 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Wikel, W.Va.
Pallbearers will be Mark Porter, Arren Porter, Joey Comer, Larry Wolfe, Wesley Wolfe and Dale Belcher.
Alternate pallbearer will be Todd Carr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Stanley and Pete Thompson.
The family will receive their friends Saturday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
