Larry Scott Schoppmeyer, 60, of 105 Pioneer Drive, died, Sunday November 23, 2014 at his residence.
He was born April 9, 1954 in Alleghany County, a son of the late John and Glenna Smith Schoppmeyer.
Larry was the President of Schoppmeyer Insurance Services of Covington.  He was a member of the Covington Kiwanis Club and Mountaineer Athletic Club.  Larry was a member of the Edgemont Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa Hardy Schoppmeyer of Covington; his Son and Daughter-in-law, Eric and Ally Schoppmeyer of Atlanta, GA; his Daughter and Son-in-law, Erin and Tommy Gilbert of Covington;  two grandchildren, Makayla Gilbert and Brooks Gilbert, both of Covington; his Sister, Penny Haynes, and her Husband, Tommy, of Covington;  his niece, Melissa Nicely and her husband, Darrin, of Clifton Forge and his nephew, Jay Sharp and his wife, Tammy, of Covington.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at  11:00 AM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Bowker officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Harris.
The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
The family suggests that donations in Larry’s name be made to the Falling Springs Rescue and Fire Department; 305 Friels Drive; Covington, VA 24426.
