LEWISBURG, WV (VR)-  Major renovation is underway at the Greenbrier Valley
Mall, where Bright Construction is installing modern fire safety and HVAC systems and replacing
the building’s cedar shake exterior and towers. The work is part of an effort by owner Copper
Leaf, LLC to return the mall to full operation as a fully functioning part of the community.
Advance Auto Parts, Seneca Opticians (Dr. Tasso Butler) and Hollywood Nails remain open and
serving customers throughout construction. Hollywood Nails is now under new management
and welcomes both returning and new clients.

The project follows the Greenbrier County Commission’s May 2026 condemnation of the
building over deficiencies in its fire suppression system. The Commission has since
conditionally lifted the order, allowing businesses to operate while repairs and improvements are
completed.

“The building is being brought up to date with modern fire safety features and a new HVAC
system, and the exterior is getting a full facelift,” said Sam Argabright, owner of Bright
Construction. “The old cedar shakes and towers are coming off. People are going to see big
changes by spring.”

“It is our intention to restore the mall to a fully functioning part of the community,” said Richard
Ducharme, CFO of Copper Leaf, LLC.

Grist Real Estate Associates serves as local liaison for Copper Leaf, LLC, coordinating with
Bright Construction on site and handling inquiries about the mall’s available spaces.
“The Greenbrier Valley Mall has been part of daily life here for decades, and we’re glad to help
bring it back,” said W. Paul Grist, broker at Grist Real Estate Associates. “This is a good time for
local businesses to look at the space.”

Businesses interested in leasing space at the Greenbrier Valley Mall may contact Grist Real Estate Associates at (304) 645-5000.
