STAUNTON, Va. (VR) – It may only be October, but some Alleghany Highlands residents are already keeping an eye out for one of the sure signs that Christmas is approaching — Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes.

McKee Foods, the company behind the popular snack cakes, has expanded its 2026 holiday lineup with two new products: Hot Cocoa Mini Muffins and Big Pack Christmas Old Fashioned Donuts.

The new offerings will join a list of returning seasonal favorites, including Christmas Tree Brownies, Christmas Tree Cakes in vanilla and chocolate, North Pole Nutty Buddy Wafer Bars, Gingerbread Cookies, Christmas Mini Muffins, Christmas Cherry Cordials, Mini Christmas Tree Cake Donuts and Single-Serve Holiday Classics.

According to a press release from the Little Debbie brand team, the new products are being added alongside the company’s traditional holiday selections.

“The seasonal products are scheduled to begin appearing at grocery stores, mass merchandise retailers and convenience stores nationwide in mid-October and will remain available through mid-December, while supplies last.”

For local fans, the annual hunt for Christmas Tree Cakes is about to begin again. The cakes have become a familiar holiday favorite, and when they do show up on store shelves, some shoppers aren’t taking any chances.

Do you stock up when you find them, or wait until closer to Christmas?
