Alleghany County Governmental Complex to be Closed in Observance of Labor Day

The following offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day:

 

∙ County Offices located in the County Governmental Complex, 9212 Winterberry Avenue, Covington, VA

 

These offices will reopen for business on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

 

The Island Ford Transfer Station will be OPEN on Monday, September 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and refuse trucks will be running as usual.  As a reminder, the transfer station is closed to the public on the first Saturday of each month for maintenance.
