Lifting a Boil Water Advisory

Boil Water Advisory to Consumers of The City of Covington LIFTED

As of June 26, 2026, the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted for homes in the following areas ONLY: S. Howard Ave., S. Franklin Ave., W. Liberty St., W. Parklin Dr., W. River Rd., S. David Ave., S. Dee Ave., W. Ridge St., S. Crawford Ave.

The Boil Water Advisory was issued on June 16, 2026, after service interruption and loss of water pressure to customers of The City of Covington Water Treatment Plant.

A series of bacteriological samples were collected and sent to a state certified lab.

All samples collected on June 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24 & 25 were absent from both total coliform and E. coli bacteria in the area where the Boil Water Advisory is currently being lifted.

Following flushing the service line and premise plumbing, residents can safely resume normal use of their tap water.
