Alleghany Highlands Genealogical Society Hosts Free Family Bible Scanning Event for Mother’s Day Weekend

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Highlands Genealogical Society, located at 515 East Pine Street, the old Jeter Watson school in Covington, is hosting a Family Bible Scanning on May the 8th and 9th, 2026, Mother’s Day weekend from 10am to 3 pm.
 
Bring in your old family bibles and the society will scan them to create digital copy as a backup file for future generations. The file can be saved on your personal thumb drive, emailed to you or a hard copy. This service is free to the Alleghany Highlands Community.
