Rams Trip BCHS In Grace Final

STAUNTON — Sydney Armstrong had a MVP performance here Saturday afternoon.
The Highland County senior put up 19 points in a 38-29 win over Bath County in the girls championship game at the Grace Christian Tip-Off Tournament.
Armstrong scored seven of her 19 in the third quarter when the Rams (3-1) bumped a four-point halftime lead to 32-21.
Gabrie Herscher led the Chargers with eight points, with Selena Wolfe and Kassedi Estes adding six each.
Estes was named to the all-tournament team, while Armstrong was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
Bath County (1-2) plays at Roanoke Catholic on Wednesday.
