Girl Scouts of VA Skyline to Host a Magical Mermaid-Themed Event on Thursday, February 12

LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – Girl Scouts of VA Skyline is inviting young girls and their families to dive into an unforgettable under-the-sea adventure! If you have a girl entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade who isn’t a Girl Scout yet, this is the perfect opportunity to explore the magic, creativity, and confidence-building fun that Girl Scouts has to offer.

This free, mermaid-themed event is designed especially for new girls who are curious, imaginative, and ready to try something new. Even better? New girls who attend can start their Girl Scout journey with a FREE membership.

At this enchanting event, girls will splash into hands-on activities that mix creativity, science, and fun, including:

  • Learning how to help save the planet through engaging ocean science activities

  • Creating a shimmering saltwater work of art to take home

  • Growing their very own mermaid garden

  • Making new friends—and bringing one along if they’d like

The fun doesn’t stop with the girls. Parents and caregivers are warmly invited to attend, ask questions, and learn how Girl Scouts helps girls grow in confidence, curiosity, leadership, and creativity—skills that last a lifetime.

Location: Mountain View Elementary School
