COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – On December 17, 2025, a report was made to the Covington Police Division about a robbery that occurred on Augusta Avenue around 2:00 am on December 16th.

The victim claimed that while walking up Augusta Avenue towards the High Acres area, they were approached from behind by a skinny, white male who emerged from the woods. The suspect was reported to be wearing all black and pressed a hard object against the victim’s back and demanded that they empty their pockets.

The suspect was able to deprive the victim of cash and a belt before the victim was able to get away.
