COVINGTON, VA (VR) – The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Raven Hamm following an investigation that began in early 2026.
Hamm was initially charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. During the continuing investigation, investigators examined a cellular phone seized during the execution of search warrants. Evidence located during that examination resulted in investigators obtaining additional criminal warrants.

On October 15, Deputies arrested Hamm on one count of Virginia Code § 18.2-374.1, related to child pornography, and ten counts under Virginia Code § 18.2-370.1, taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship.

Following her arrest, Hamm was transported to the Alleghany Regional Jail for processing, where she is being held without bond.

Sheriff Kyle Moore stated:

This investigation is proof that the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office is completely dedicated to providing a safe environment for all of our children and will diligently prosecute all offenders to the fullest extent of the law.
